Procurement owns supplier data, finance owns invoices, production owns process information, engineering owns meters, and the environmental team manages compliance. Unless these functions use a common method, the company will struggle to produce a reliable carbon result.
Training programmes can be customised for management, technical personnel, internal auditors, suppliers, universities and industrial parks. Available subjects include ISO 14064, ISO 14067, product carbon footprints, MRV, China’s national carbon market, EU CBAM, SBTi, CDP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
Training is designed around practical business tasks rather than standards clauses alone. Participants may work through boundary setting, data collection, emissions calculations, evidence review, audit findings and corrective-action planning.
Deliverables can include course materials, calculation templates, data-request lists, audit checklists, case exercises, assessment records and a company-specific action plan.
For longer-term capacity building, the programme can follow a structured cycle of training, supervised practice, on-site coaching, simulated auditing and competence evaluation. Continuing Professional Development, or CPD, programmes can also be designed for auditors, managers and sustainability professionals.
The purpose is straightforward: the company should have its own people who can calculate emissions, maintain evidence, answer customer questions and prepare confidently for external audits or verification.
