A product carbon footprint is effectively a product’s “carbon identity”. It may cover raw materials, transport, manufacturing, packaging, use and end-of-life stages rather than only electricity consumed at the factory.
China’s policy on establishing a product carbon-footprint management system requires the development of approximately 200 key product rules and standards by 2030. China has also launched product carbon-footprint label certification pilots.
We can support companies with functional units, system boundaries, bills of materials, energy data, logistics, supplier information, emission-factor selection, hotspot analysis, bilingual reports and verification evidence packages based on ISO 14067 and ISO 14040/14044.
For exporters, the same structured data can support customer questionnaires, EPD preparation and international supply-chain reporting. EU CBAM requirements are separate from ISO 14067, but reliable and traceable product data can substantially reduce the work required to prepare embedded-emissions information.
The practical objective is simple: when a customer asks for the carbon footprint, the company can provide a result that is understandable, traceable and ready for independent review.
