Dr. Chao Yang is Associate Professor at the Department of Public Administration. His research interests include global science and technology policy, science and technology policy, emergency science and technology governance, and public policy processes. Dr. Yang received a Ph.D in Public Management from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He was also a visiting Ph.D in the Alliances Manchester Business School (AMBS), University of Manchester, UK under the scholarship of China Scholarship Council in 2017-2018 academic year. Dr. Yang undertakes National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China, Jiangsu Provincial Social Science Project, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Jiangsu Soft Science Foundation and other important research projects. Dr. Yang published more than 20 journal articles indexed by SSCI, SCI, CSSCI and other databases. Dr. Yang welcomes students interested in the Science and Technology Policy research, especial those good at computational social science with excellence in R, Stata, Python and many other quantitative tools, to apply for master supervision at CUMT.
