Abstract:Acco rding to the principle of the “ spherical shell stability losing” mecha nism, the expansio nenerg y of initial releasing gas and the thickness of soft co al w ere used as the test index es to predict the dynamic phenomena w hen a cross-cut is uncov ered. During more tha n 40 simula tion ex periments of outburst, three types of dy namic phenomena of no n-outburst , weak outburst and violent outburst appeared. The expansion energy of initial releasing gas and the thickness of soft coal were measured in every ex periment. By handling th ese test data with linear discriminatory method, the discrimina nts of three dy namic phenomena and their critical v alues w ere o btained. The analy sis results show that the expansio n energ y o f initial releasing g as is o f g reat impo rtance to the discrimina tion of dy namic phenomena under the condition of " uncovering ideal cross-cut” and is of quite hig haccuracy to predict the danger of coal-gas outburst with this index.
