Profile

Prof. Liu Shiqi is doctor of engineering, and professor. He has long engaged in the research of coalbed methane (CBM), shale gas, coal measure gases exploration and development, CO₂ geological storage and utilization, multiphase flow in porous media, Numerical simulation of oil and gas reservoirs, Digital core technology etc. He is a youth editorial board member of Journal of China University of Mining & Technology, Acta Sedimentologica Sinica, Coal Science and Technology, Coal Geology & Exploration, and a member of the Jiangsu Society of Low-carbon Technology. He was successively selected as “Six talent peaks project” in Jiangsu Province, and “Top young scientist of Low Carbon Technology Society” in Jiangsu Province. He headed 12 scientific research projects of national, provincial, and ministerial levels, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology Research and Development Program of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, etc. He has won the two science and technology prize. He has authorized 8 national invention patent licenses of the United States and Australian, 15 national invention patent licenses of China, and 4 software copyrights of China. He has published 3 academic monograph, more than 50 academic papers with first author and corresponding author, including more than 20 papers catalogued by SCI and EI.
