Profile
Dr. Wen-gang HUANG obtained his bachelor's degree and doctor's degree in mining engineering from China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) in 2009 and 2014, respectively. He once served as the dean and associate professor of the mining engineering department of the School of Earth Sciences of East China University of Technology (ECUT), and is now an associate research fellow of the State Key Laboratory for Fine Exploration and Intelligent Development of Coal Resources, CUMT. He is mainly dedicated to the research of fluidized mining, with research interests covering process optimization, comprehensive evaluation, multi-field coupling theory for solution leaching of uranium and underground coal gasification, as well as professional construction, talent cultivation, and teaching reform in mining engineering. In recent years, he has undertaken nearly 20 scientific and educational research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Major Special Project, the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Research project of teaching reform of colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province. He has published over 50 papers in journals such as International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences, Fuel, and International Journal of Mining Science and Technology, authorized 10 patents, and published 1 monograph. He has also won the second-class prize of 2022 Science and Technology Award of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry, the second-class and third-class prize of the First and Second National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers of Mining Engineering in Colleges and Universities, the second-class prize of the 17th Teaching Achievement Award of ECUT, and the Excellent Teaching Management Award of ECUT. Moreover, he also served as the Expert in the National Graduate Education Evaluation and Monitoring Expert Database, the member of the 8th Committee of mining Academic Committee of The Nonferrous Metals Society of China, and reviewers of several international journals, including the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments, and International Journal of Coal Science & Technology, etc.
