Recipient of the National High-Level Young Talent Program, Distinguished Young Scholar of Jiangsu Province Qinglan Project, and High-End Talent Program of China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT). Awardee of the Jiangsu Distinguished Young Scholars Fund and Jiangsu Excellent Young Scholars Fund. He has also earned prestigious honors including the First-Class Outstanding Teacher Award of CUMT, Second-Class Outstanding Young Teacher Teaching Award, Advanced Individual in Research-Oriented Education, May Fourth Youth Medal, and Outstanding Communist Party Member.
He currently serves as Council Member of the Jiangsu Association of Automation, and Committee Member of multiple professional committees under the Chinese Association of Automation—including Process Control, Big Data, Adaptive Dynamic Programming and Reinforcement Learning, Environmental Sensing and Protection Automation, and Intelligent Manufacturing Systems. He is also Committee Member of the Cluster Intelligence and Cooperative Control Committee of the Chinese Association for Command and Control.
In editorial roles, he acts as Editorial Board Member of Industrial Artificial Intelligence, and Young Editorial Board Member of Journal of China University of Mining and Technology, Journal of Engineering Science, Industry and Mine Automation, and Coal Science and Technology.
His research focuses on AI-driven modeling and optimal operational control of complex process industries, as well as next-generation artificial intelligence methodologies and technologies such as federated learning and incremental learning.
He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers, and filed or been granted 20 invention patents, with 4 patents and software copyrights successfully commercialized through technology transfer.
His research outcomes have been recognized with a series of high-profile awards, including the Second-Class Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, First-Class and Second-Class Natural Science Awards of the Chinese Association of Automation, First-Class Liaoning Provincial Patent Award, Coal Youth Science and Technology Award, China Industry-University-Research Cooperative Innovation Award (Individual), Second-Class Shandong Coal Industry Science and Technology Award, Second-Class Jiangsu Coal Science and Technology Progress Award, Third-Class Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award, and Annual Outstanding Paper Award of Control Theory & Applications.
He is dedicated to mentoring young researchers. Under his supervision, students have won more than 30 national and provincial awards in undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship projects and competitions. He has also led 11 projects of the Jiangsu Graduate Innovation Training Program, and guided 4 students to receive the National Scholarship.
